HELP!
Thu, 15 Oct 2009 19:49:21 +0100
I can, just, remember reading a post about a make of chutney that (s)he
liked, but I cannot remember the name of which heading it came under, I
think it started with the letters CH.
So does anyone remember it, and can they please tell me where I can buy the
stuff?

Name of UK equivalent of Betty Crocker Cake Mix
Wed, 14 Oct 2009 10:13:48 +0100
I've been reading a lot about the 1950's and 60's in the US
lately with plenty of mentions of Betty Crocker Cake mixes. I'm
sure there was a UK equivalent of Betty Crocker - again based on a
woman's name maybe up until quite recently but I'm racked my brain
to think of it, with no success. Googling is of no help e ...

Are there really no posters here? Trolls sorted. (Except for Steve but
it is easy to kill off his posts without reading them.) Or I may have
kill-filed everyone by mistake :)

Short crust pastry
Tue, 13 Oct 2009 20:30:55 +0100
This week, I am about to embark on making this pastry, as my wife, who
has made it 99% of our married life, is getting too involved with
Scouting and I am missing my pastry. :-(
Would I be right in thinking that the water is only there to bind the
pastry? What happens if there is too much/too little water in ...

Finding the truth and abandoning the fairy tale taboos put into place
by the Godhead priests
Tue, 13 Oct 2009 11:08:51 -0700 (PDT)
If you'll examine both beastiality and necrophilia you will find that
besides the antiquated taboos associated with participation they are
totally victimless crimes. You cannot insult the dead can you? The
body is only a shell, what is wrong with expressing your love in that
manner? The world is full of hate and w ...

Come Dine with Me.
Tue, 13 Oct 2009 09:30:12 -0700 (PDT)
I watched the show from Leicester where a young man, a market trader,
forgotten his name, cooked what looked like fillet steak in the oven.
I have tried to find his method by looking at the website but it says
it can't be published for copyright reasons. I presume he used a
recipe from a cookbook, I would love to ...

melengic
Mon, 12 Oct 2009 17:43:50 +0100
Does anyone know what melengic can be used for? They are a kind of dried
berry and resemble green peppercorns. I bought some on spec from a Turkish
grocers (seduced by the pretty colour), thinking I could look them up on the
internet. However, there is scarce reference except possibly as an
ingredient to be gr ...
