Hello All!
I don't want to start a fight as to whether Balti is really Indian or
from Birmingham. I rather like it once in a while and I'd describe it as
a stir-fry served with a spicy sauce including lots of onions and

Oh - I can't believe it.
The best restaurant/takeaway in the world (well, my world) has just ceased
to exist. First the refurbishment notice went up (yeah, right) then the
landlord's 14 day notice.
It's devastating - I've never encountered a takeaway/restaurant that was so
consistently great with only one ...

Ginger tea a good remedy for sore throat, cold, etc

GINGER TEA (TEA WITHOUT TEA)
Boil 500 ml of water.
Add some slices of fresh ginger root.
Reduce flame.
Cook for 10 minutes and strain.
Add honey and/or lemon juice of your choice.
Drink hot.
(Good remedy for sore throat, cold, etc.)

Ordered a tub today when doing some online shopping .
Personally i dont think stuff like pataks madras paste tastes anything
the madras currys you get from a restaurant or take away - but it is
good if you add a teaspoon of if to a tin of tomato soup to give it a
little bit of kick .

Favourite Curry?

I think my favourite curry has to be Lamb Pathia (which includes onion
and tomato sauce with red chillies, lemon juice, sugar, fenugreek leaves
and fresh coriander) as I really like the hot+sweet+sour taste. I often
make this at home and it's liked by all of the family.
