tomorrow in the past
Sat, 28 Jun 2008 14:03:38 +0200
Hi, I've looked "tomorrow" up in several dictionaries and all of them
say more or less the same, the day after *today* or the next day following
the *present* day.
However, I've noticed that many people say things like "I was gonna
try it tomorrow, but in the end I gave in."

necessarily the exact place but the kind of place, for example:
I work __ a bookshop.
I work __ a hospital.
I work __ a flowers stall at the market.

'a historian' or 'an historian'?
Sun, 22 Jun 2008 11:15:01 -0700 (PDT)

accented. Thus 'a history' but 'an historian'.
Is this true that since the initi ...

"an eulogy" or "a eulogy"?
Wed, 18 Jun 2008 10:13:57 -0700 (PDT)
As per phonetics theory, I've been told one should use the indefinite
article "a" before words beginning with a consonant and "an" before
words beginning with a vowel or a diphthong. And the sound "y" ( or /
j / in phonetic script) as in "eulogy", "university", "European"
etc. is to be treated as a consonant (th ...
