what if one's pronounciation sounds archaic?

The s in resource now is pronounced z by most people, but according to
one of my old dictionaries in the 70s, it is pronounced s.
what if I pronounced in the old way? How will others look at me...

I received an e-mail on Friday (22th of June) last week with the follwoing
text:
"Next Monday I will contact you for details"
Does this mean this Monday or Monday one week from now?

Conferring knighthood on Rushdie

I think the British Govt. had every right to confer the knighthood
on Rushdie. I think he is fully derserving of the honour conferred
on him.
I am not a muslim but with things the way they are I feel this was
not the right time for the British Govt. to honour someone whom the
muslim community think bla ...

Can sb please explain to me, why all the messages from this group get
automatically deleted once a week?
I subscribe to many different groups from all over the world, my computer is
set not to delete any messages automatically and it generally obeys my
