Articles like this make it hard for you not to resent the police.
Why did this policeman get one set of rules applied to him whilst
everyone else get another set? Otherwise could some of the legal
experts here fill me in on the reasoning behind this man's acquittal?

A policeman's lot is not a happy one.
This is ridiculous.
As a comment to this story says, if the police are doing their job
properly and preventing crime, then there will be no need to make arrests.
So they will get punished for performing.

A few times in the past, and again this morning, I saw a fat police
officer. We're not talking a small paunch, it was obesity to the point
of her waddling along the pavement. I'm not criticising the police
force as a whole in this regard because many of their men (and women)
