Hostel Closures aired on BBC

Ingleton YHA, North Yorkshire

I was driving back from Scotland and realised it was late in the day, I
still had over 300 miles to go and was very tired so I pulled into the
motorway services and dug out the YHA handbook. One friendly phone call
later and I had a bed at Ingleton Hostel.

I stayed at Glen Nevis hostel last week, this is my report.
I was on a 'world tour of Scotland' and planned on climbing Ben Nevis on 2nd
May. I phoned up Glen Nevis Hostel (SYHA) at the last minute, betting
correctly that nearly everybody would have gone home that day after a long
