Discover - replacement for Triangle

Discover, the replacement magazine for Triangle, dropped on my
doorstep this morning.
I'm not sure what to make of it yet, it's on heavier paper than
Triangle so it feels and looks more glossy which I think is a plus.
There is more emphasis on hostels and what the attractions to that
area are rather than the ot ...

YHA Llangollen closing August 2007

YHA Llangollen has been sold, and will close in August 2007 and not
October 2008 as originally planned. The following press release

Travelling London

We're looking for an accomodation in London or in Est of UK for a large
sport group (40 children 7/13 years old and 30 parents). The children
will play in Gillingham on 21/22 April so we'd stay near Gillingham on
20/23 April. We'd rent a coach for these days too.

Steps Bridge and Kirkby Stephen

Anyone know why Steps Bridge and Kirkby Stephen, announced in the YHA
News section of the website as being saved as a bunkhouse and
enterprise hostel respectively, aren't included anywhere in the "find
accommodation" sections? All the other saved hostels seem to be
present.
Has YHA simply forgotten to includ ...

Goodbye sheet sleeping bag

Sheet sleeping bags only have a year to go. With effect from 1st
March 2008 SSB will be phased out and replaced by bottom sheet and
duvet cover and two pillow cases.
So some major investment in linen although I understand it will be
leased rather than purchased.

I've just had a phone call on behalf of the YHA, from someone wanting to
arrange a face-to-face interview about hosteling, with a reward of
free nights. Anyone else had one, and does anyone know what it's all about?
I assume it isn't some elaborate scam by slave traders, or the Zenith
Staybrite window sal ...
