Seems there?s a bit of mayhem at Whaley Bridge basin. A boating friend
has phoned to say that BW have just reduced visitor moorings to about
only three boats. All the rest are now long term moorings.
Seems a bit short sighted as Whaley Bridge basin is the dead end after
the long haul up the Peak Forest canal wh ...

It's that time of the year again when I pick the assembled brains of
uk.rec.waterways for route suggestions.
We're hiring a narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Wootton Warwen from 24th
October to 27th October for a short "out and back" cruise. Collect the
boat at about three, back at nine on the Tuesday morning.
