A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder following
the death of two people on a canal boat.
Emergency services were called to Stoke Hammond, near Milton Keynes at
0035 BST after reports of a man and a woman seriously injured on a boat.

breach on stourbridge canal

Wanted to let you know the folowing.
The canal has breached east of Middle Bridge and is effectivelly
closed until further notice between the top of the Stourbridge 16
Locks and Stourton Junction. Britsh Waterways staff are on site
assessing the damage and assessing what can be dome immediately.

I've just read the BW winter stoppages programme and find to my
amazement that this year the annual maintenance on the Anderton boat
lift is scheduled to take 3 months. I believe that this is more a way
for BW to save money than a need to do so much work on a piece of
machinery that had ¡ê8m spent on it for a compl ...
