A friend of mine has just purchased a Mac Mini and is getting rather
excited about the way he can capture footage off his DV camera, and play
it on his telly in "such good quality, it looks like HD"....
Are there any drawbacks in using a MAC OS to capture this way, such as

req opinions: best pocket camcorder?

I'm thinking of getting a pocket camcorder and I'd appreciate any
experiences of the good and the bad. When I say pocket I mean small, say
the size of a cigarette packet or deck of cards, you know. Some cameras

Synchronizing video streams

What's the easiest way to sync a few video/audio streams in the editor? I
don't think I can do that automatically in Vegas, but it would be very
interesting if any non-pro editor can do that.

Converting PC television recordings to Apple Quicktime

I want to take a Windows Media Player television recording and make it
readable on a Macintosh computer running Quicktime.
Can I convert it to MPEG2 PAL and then write it to a DVD R disc or is life
more complex than that? I have Digital Media Converter on my computer to do
the conversion.

Connecting to DVD recorder

tapes onto DVD.
Would there be any difference in quality if I connect my Sony HC35E
