Sony VX9000 Sound fault
Tue, 25 Sep 2007 06:11:36 -0500
My trusty Sony VX9000 camera has decided to stop recording sound.
Checking the tapes on a deck shows no sign of the 'carrier', in 16bit or
12bit.
Has anyone else had this problem, and corrected it? Failing that, can
anyone reccommend a repair facility in the UK?
If you can help, thanks.

Digital TVs and subtitles?
Sun, 23 Sep 2007 14:18:47 GMT
Found a brilliant offer in Tescos for a digital TV, when I got it home and
set it up, I tried to get to the teletext and show the subtitles as I'm a
bit hard of hearing, on the present TV the subtitles are on page 888, but
putting that number into the Dig TV produced some rubbish, on trying to
select subtitles u ...

AV camcorder pinout quesion.
Fri, 21 Sep 2007 17:05:56 GMT
Hi,
I realize this is a digital video group but I hope you can answer this
analogue camcorder question. My daughter purchased a Ferguson FC31 analogue
camcorder from a car boot sale. It has an AV connector on the back and I'm
trying to understand the pinout. I've pretty much answered my own question
but I ...

Danny Boy wannabe (C)rap man
Tue, 18 Sep 2007 00:05:42 -0700
Did you actually waste time writing this shit or just plagiarise it?
(also a total waste of time)
A tad repetitive, taking poetic license a stretch too far, mind-set on
bullets (penile extension syndrome perhaps?) wannabe suicide, be my
guest, Daniel. (Thank fuck he ain't MY bro'!)

Take the Sony plunge?
Mon, 17 Sep 2007 21:05:09 +0100
Currently using Premier Pro 2, which fortunately, as i work in
education, was funded in part for me, so I didn't have the brunt of the
cost of such.
However, i'm about to embark on a new 'career' in videography, and will
be purchasing Sony equipment.
Should I stick with Premier Pro 2, or go down the Vega ...

I want to rotate some video with shareware software. I presently use
Virtualdub, which works fine but the file size is absolutely HUGE. So my
question is:
1) Is there a way to prevent the file size being so large in Virtualdub?
2) Failing that, does anyone know of any freeware or relatively inexpensive
softwa ...

Videography contract? And then something else...
Thu, 13 Sep 2007 21:05:48 +0100
[this post also exists in rec.video.desktop - sorry, forgot to cross-
post]
A question geared more to British 'law', but I guess a universal answer
exists...
I'm 'slowly' offering my services as a wedding videographer, purely on
an amateur hobbyist basis for now, but feel I should have some form of
agre ...
