looking for WW2 defences and what they TV guide calls "bunkers". Might
be worth a look, even if the bunkers turn out to be an old air raid
shelter.

Monkton Farleigh Mines

Evening all,
After reading about Monkton Mines and the local Corsham network I was
curious to know why they painted the underground area white?
Looking at Ridge (etc) they did not do similar....is there a reason
for the white paint - or was it a purely aesthetic reason as to 'bouce
back' the most optimum ligh ...

Coldblow RAF site

I would like to hear from anyone that was stationed at the Coldblow Ace High
site between 1963-1965.
I was with USAF Microwave unit and we had two English Tech Reps. one of
the tech reps names was lynn. I would like to hear from
RAF or USAF personnel that served during that time.

Clapham South Deep Level Shelter for sale?

there is a large sign for "Future development" placed there by Knight Frank
Estate Agents. I've had a look on their website by nothing is listed.
Anybody know whats going on?

article describing a bunker in the Yorkshire Dales......see also

locked up in what was described as "a disused nuclear bunker".
