Tall Trees?
Mon, 8 May 2006 14:39:49 +0100
Does the name "Tall Trees" mean anything to anyone?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/4982116.stm
It's probably worth no more than a footnote to WWII history, but I'm

Another hydro station...
Sat, 06 May 2006 11:19:36 -0400
Just finished my pages on Quoich:
http://www.corestore.org/Quoich.htm
A huge rockfill dam, but not a great deal of underground interest.
This will be more than compensated for by the next station I do,
Ceannacroc, where I have a *lot* of underground coverage.

Geological survey (a bit OT)
Sun, 30 Apr 2006 10:16:29 GMT
Anyone recall - or was involved in the survey where miles of probes were put
into the ground alongside roads and then a convoy of truck came along and
thumped the ground?
It was a mammoth project as I saw the convoy in many places over a period of
many years.
I have tried to access the British Geological S ...
