Things are hotting up, they're putting beams at least part-way around
the ring, "splashing" into closed collimators -- so the detectors can see
the collision debris. My first shift is tomorrow morning.
I'm not sure if this is visible outside CERN, or without a login or

OK, this should be easy, but I can't make it work.
I've subscribed to a UK proxy provider to let me run iplayer when I am
in trenzal. it is just fine. It needs authentication, but they gave
me a username and password.
But I also use mplayer to read from rstp: streams and save them to
