Northampton Suubaqua     1 Jul 2008 22:10:52 GMT
When I lived in S. Leics I bought all my gear from Derek in Northampton. His web-site is down. Does anyone know if the business went tits-up? ...

Loads of gear for sale     Tue, 1 Jul 2008 04:23:02 +0100
Hi all Four dive couples have decided to call it a day on the diving front and have lots of their personal gear for sale. In addition they have ceased to run a kids swimming club and have the dive masks, fins and snorkels for sale (38 sets at time of writing!) which would be ideal for a similar venture. Fu ...

Due to work and injury there are a couple of spaces now unfilled on a trip I am running from Weymouth. These dates are a Monday and Tuesday. B&B is booked at Margaret's on Sunday and Monday nights. The itinerary is not completely fixed, but it will be wrecks from 45-50m deep. Cost for the lot will be aroun ...

re: undersuits     Tue, 24 Jun 2008 20:03:51 +0100
Bouncing this thread from April 'cos nobody mentioned Xerotherms! That's what I use (under a neoprene drysuit) and I can't speak highly enough of it. I only use the thin one (not the Arctic) but with neoprene it's good for 10-11deg. Colder, you can put what you like on the top - or the Arctic. It's comfy, eas ...

Good Mask De-fogger?     Fri, 20 Jun 2008 03:26:21 -0700 (PDT)
Hi, had awful problems on holiday and in general with my mask fogging up. Have used toothpaste twice, use spit before the dive and still not great. Bought another mask as the previous one wasn't great really and that was 100 times better. Used toothpaste again and still great but after 6 or 7 dives started fogging ...

Recommend good dive boat in warm place?     Sun, 15 Jun 2008 11:02:58 +0100
Hi, I've not dived for 10 years but I'd like to get back into it. I like the idea of spending a week (or maybe two) on a very relaxed dive boat in a warm place, diving a couple of times a day, eating/drinking BBQ and salad and wine and generally having a fun time. I'd probably go on my own. Can anyone please ...

Diving in Perpignan     Sun, 15 Jun 2008 10:32:25 +0100
Has anyone here any experience of diving in this part of France? We're off there in a couple of weeks time and want to fit in a couple of sneaky dives there. Recommendations for Dive Centres in the area? Thanks Henry ...

Re: Channel Islands     Sat, 7 Jun 2008 22:22:07 +0100
I just got back from a week diving on Sark with Sark Diving Services http://www.sarkci.com/ - as far as Sark goes they're it. Well, he's it, since it's basically Andy, a hugely experienced local pro, and his (hard) boat Starfish of Sark. He knows the place (and its bizarre currents) backwards, and offers tanks ...
