human medicines?

I have an overweight (only slightly) sort of large cairn terrier cross who's
pulled a muscle when playing with the other dogs. It's obviously not
bothering him much but he's limping slightly.
Is there any sort of human anti inflammatory etc I can give him? I'm in the
