2 packs in series for more volts

anyone running 2 7.2 packs in series on a buggy?
whats it like?
I use a mechanical speed control on a rc10 so volt should affect it too much
and if it does oh well.
Im thinking about trying it.

Advice wanted on rc setup

I'm currently building a new boat kit and it's twin motored. It's been
suggested that for best effect, I'm better off with one channel for each
of the motors and one for the rudder. All my other RC stuff is two
channel - in fact, I've got three transmitters for three different

I just bought a car made in china. it is a 1/10 scale 4 wheel drive shaft
driven buggy. The manual only says 2 1/2 hr. Is this normal charging time
for these batteries? and also says that the transmitter 800mAH in 4 hrs. It
only came with the charger for the 7v battery on the car.The transmitter has

Anyone know whether the pots in the Tx are used in "variable voltage
out" form or "variable resistance" form to control the channels? I
presume, due to 3 wire connection that its the former but id be pleased
if someone could confirm?
