Looking for old R-C book

Hi Folks,
Many years ago as a boy, I occasionally borrowed from the library a
facinating old book on Radio Control.
It was a British book and contained lots of wonderful home-brew valve
transmitters and receivers as well as rubber powered actuators, bang-bang
servos and tuned reed relays (I think).

When using Futaba 2.4 GHz is there a limit to the number of models that
can be in the air at the same time?
Apparently the system changes frequency every 2 milliseconds.
How many frequencies are there to change between?
What happens if many people are using 2.4 GHz?
Anything which will help me to properly ...

I am considering for a winter project theGold Edition Top Flite P47 or
the Sea Fury . I have an O.S 91 F but I am not sure it's up to the job . I
fly from a fairly rough grass strip so the questions of flaps and retracts
come up with the extra weight and the toughness of the gear. I have
considered fixed gear ...

Which edition of this programme - just shown on the UKTV History
Channel had a short piece about the replica of Stringfellow's steam
driven 'heavier than air' aircraft? And does anyone know if they ever
managed to fly it? It kind of never gets off the ground in the prog.

Nice flyer and an interesting project.
The company is no more. I Have been looking around for another kit
.......... no joy as yet.
