Shaft is about 2400 mm overall with screwed length 2080mm and 40.24mm
OD. Square threadform with radiussed crests, 6mm pitch. The nut is

take a few test cuts, but it is very pleasant to use.
The only thing was looking at the pristine table and thinking "I'm just

Auction "Ringing"
Sat, 25 Oct 2008 20:32:14 +0100
At a recent factory auction, the auctioneer stopped the sale of a second
press brake and really verbally laid into one of the bidders, saying he was
"auction ringing" and then refused to continue with the sale and removed the
item for the auction. It sounded as though he knew the bidder, as he really

Wed, 22 Oct 2008 18:29:20 +0100
Further to my quandry over whether to buy an Evolution or a bandsaw I
am now the proud (hopefully) owner of a "Thomas" Pulldown Cold Saw.
The deal was done by swapping two large Carver "G" Cramps and a 5'
Carver Sash Cramp for the saw.
Problem is the saw is 415v and it is going in my garage with only 240v
