4 pole 160 / 200a isolator
Tue, 22 Jul 2008 08:39:45 +0100
Has anyone a 4 pole (ie 3 phase with switched neutral) isolator /
switch disconnector / switch fuse with a rating of 160a - 200a or
greater kicking arround that they'd like to convert to folding money?
I'm having a somewhat larger than normal 3 phase supply installed and
would like it's first point of calling to b ...

ER hex collets?
Tue, 22 Jul 2008 01:24:12 +0100
Does anyone make ER collets to hold hex bar?
I don't think it's impossible, though they'd probably have to have 12
slots rather than 16 - but then some small ER collets only have 12 slots
anyway.

Inverter Tig Welders
Mon, 21 Jul 2008 07:37:24 -0700 (PDT)
I need to weld some thin mild steel and find that my Mig is a bit
crude and vicious on mild steel this thin. I'm wondering if one of the
modern DC Tig inverter welders would be better for thin mild steel. Of
course a full AC/DC Tig would be nice for versatility but they never
come anywhere near a sensible price.

Sun, 20 Jul 2008 01:00:53 -0700 (PDT)
I sure by now most of us have looked at http://people.bath.ac.uk/ccsshb/12cyl/
I was looking at some documentation on the engine builders site and
came across this:
". The cylinder liner wear rates are in the region of 0.02?0.03 mm/
1000 hours maximum."

Usefulness of cross slide rotary tables?
Sun, 20 Jul 2008 01:46:37 GMT
Greetings All,
I have and use a Troyke 12 inch cross slide rotary table (R/T). Before
the advent of widespread CNC milling machines these tools were
practically indispensible to mold makers and machinists making complex
parts with radii blending into straight or curved surfaces. I also
have a 4 inch rotary table. ...

The Quick Release MT2 or between centers Expanding Mandrels offered by
Arc Euro Trade (near the bottom of http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Expanding-Mandrels)
