Anyone near Chalfont St Peter?
Thu, 7 Aug 2008 14:16:02 +0100
Just curious to know if anyone on here is in my neck of the woods. Always
nice to have a potter around other people's workshops or swap stories.

Anyone know where I can get a frame 56 (or smaller) 0.37 kW dual voltage
three-phase motor, pref 2800 rpm, for use with an inverter?
The frame 56 bit is the hard part.
Thanks,

Motor starters for small home machinery
06 Aug 2008 19:40:41 +0100 (BST)
The very ancient MEM "Startet" start-stop button on my mill has finally
worn out. It controls an ancient GEC single phase 1/4 hp capacitor
start motor. While I have designed motor control gear before, I didn't
look particularly at the prices of the contactors, overcurrent trips,
start stop buttons and cabinets!

where did all the locos go?
Wed, 06 Aug 2008 13:52:46 +0100
I've just been reading a pile of Model Engineers
from the 1950's.
It appears that EVERYBODY (well, every model engineer)

and that every ME club had (or aspired to) a circuit.
Even some induividuals had a garden track to run their
locomotives (note plural) o ...

Wed, 06 Aug 2008 10:01:04 +0100
Hi All
Following the success of my steel disposal here a while back - I figured
that I may as well try this one on you all!

old Kerry lathe which may be coming up for disposal shortly. I can't
give you chapter and verse on which model ...
