Steel stockholders around Glasgow

I'm after a largish quantity of steel for making a trailer; does
anyone have any recommendations for an amateur-friendly stockholder
who's competitive on price in the Glasgow/west central belt area? I've
tended to either buy from scrappys or Metal Supermarket in the past,
as I've only ever needed small quantities ...

I need to a little brazing on the engine I'm building but I don't have
any kit.
Any suggestions for doing a few small jobs ? I have a plumbers propane
torch but it isn't hot enough.

Engieering Course in Eastleigh Hampshire

Just a heads up to say that the engineering course at Eastleigh
College in Hampshire is running again.
Sadly this course has been cancelled several times in recent years due
to lack of numbers. I enjoy getting out on a Monday night hence this
post to hopefully drum up some interest and make sure the course runs ...

light hearted topic that eventually irritates me.
Razor blades are advertised as being super sharp, titanium or whatever blah,

So why do they go blunt so quick !!!!

Spring - buy or make?

I need to make or buy a spiral spring for a window regulator of an old
car. The regulator was made by Bright of Coventry, so it's not the
usual Wilmot Breeden type.

B&D die grinder collet?

Looking for a replacement collet for my B&D P78-01 die grinder, it's
quite a nice tool from the days when B&D made some decent semi-
industrial stuff. 'No Longer Available' from B&D spares source. It's
one of those collets with a small male thread to pull itself into the
spindle.
Any ideas? If I can't find one ...
