cheap underwater metal detector

I made a 10' search coil extension cable for my Bounty Hunter
Discovery 1100. I separated the electronics box from the detector and
put the box in a floating, waterproof plastic food container w/lid.

Spent three hours on the site of the old 'Goose Fair' near me. 40 coins,
mostly copper, earlirst 1820 Victorian and up to 1945. Field was a bit
waterlogged, looking forward to the summer!
