Root damage from palm?
Tue, 14 Oct 2008 11:58:40 +0100
Hello there, 7 years ago we planted a 1 foot high palm plant near the
house. It has thrived and is now 8 foot tall with a 4 inch thick
"trunk".
In the meantime we constructed a conservatory within 3 foot of the
palm, the construction sits on concrete pads which go into the ground
about 4 foot. It is not your ...

Japanese Knotweed x Russian Vine
Tue, 14 Oct 2008 11:46:46 +0100
Someone was expressing fear of Russian Vine hybridising with Japanese
Knotweed.
It does.
Fide Stace, most seed produced by Fallopia japonica in the UK is hybrid,
with either Fallopia sakhalinensis or Fallopia baldschuanica as the
pollen parent.
(Fallopia japonica spreads vegetatively; most plants in the ...

The place we've moved into has this stuff all over the place;
rockeries, borders, shade, you name it. I haven't been here long
enough to know if it flowers or not (those yellow flowers are from an
adjacent plant).
Any information, i ...

Sun, 12 Oct 2008 15:14:39 -0700 (PDT)

sugar sweet, etc.
Could someone enlighten me as to which varieties have to be grown a ...
