Sorry, no help here at all. Don't have a quad or a tractor. I use a
Cousin - who brings his tractor when needed ;)
I don't know if a quad is going to tear up your ground any less than a
tractor would. It would need a set of very wide wheels to spread its
weight over soft ground, I would think. Same with your poo ...

I have an old lawntractor - lawnmower type 12 HP with the deck removed and
a tipping trailer for poo picking onmy sloped fields. The wheels do not cut
up the grass / grazing and it is low geared so it copes with slopes easily.
The brakes are a bit naff, but if its left in gear when stopped it does not
move a ...

Another update (long)

OK, this is what we are up to:
Cherry and Sophie have been doing pleasure rides with me, most weekends
lately; I've been alternating who I ride as they both enjoy the rides.
Got soaked a couple of times recently, riding in awful weather.... Weekend
of 4/5 Oct we had two rides, both in the same venue/ forest. ...
