Hydraulux Pump.
Sun, 1 Nov 2009 08:35:01 -0000
Having got back in the hobby I decided to get some back issues of the SE mag
and managed to get almost a full set from guy in Cambridgeshire (via the
Forum) whilst down there picking my motorhome up. Looking through these I
came across an article on the "Hydraulux" pump I recently acquired.

Hydraulic press?
Fri, 30 Oct 2009 01:06:55 -0000
Is there anyone in the Bristol area that has - or has access to - a
hydraulic press? The Lyons & Wrench dynamo that is fitted to the WW1 ABC I'm
restoring is now in very good order, but the armature winding appears to be
carried on an aluminium carrier and it's moved on the shaft by about an

Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and seeking suggestions.

drive mechanism but have found the engine is solid d ...

Brooklands visit.
Tue, 27 Oct 2009 19:09:26 -0000
ABC's started out at Brooklands until they were evicted at 24 hours notice
when The Unpleasantness began in 1914. As the current museum has one or two
bits of APU lying about the place, I asked about library materials and the
upshot was that I was invited to visit Brooklands last Friday.
I arrived around lunc ...

Ducati Diesel
Mon, 26 Oct 2009 20:55:52 -0000
I'm just wondering if anyone has come across one of these in their travels.
It's a small single cylinder aircooled Diesel of a few horsepower at an
almighty 3000rpms. I'm thinking that it's about 20 years old and at the
moment is a donkey engine driving a small hydraulic pump for a low loader
trailer of mine.
