One of us!

Anybody watch the TT coverage? I did and during an interview with Guy
Martin in his 'bike shed' I thought I spied a familier shape lurking in
the background. Sure enough, a little later on there was a Wolseley WD
and Guy admitted to finding nothing more relaxing than sitting for a
while with an engine and a ni ...

Gentlemen,
A friend, (John Southall for those that know him) has hauled his old Ruston
out of the shed after sitting there for 10 years with the idea of getting it
running and taking it to he odd Rally.
Problem is, when he laid it up it had a full tank of fuel (what is he?) and,

power saw for disposal
Fri, 12 Jun 2009 15:50:12 +0100
Hi All
I have been offered a power hack saw but I don't have a need for one.
Is there any demand for these beasties?
I don't have any details for it - maker etc, but if anyone is interested
in a power saw at a very reasonable cost I'll find out more about it.
It would need picking up from central Cambrid ...

Question regarding Petter PH1
Wed, 10 Jun 2009 21:22:39 +0100
I've just about finished restoring an old Thwaites dumper with this engine
and wonder if anyone has any experience with it, in particular an annoying
small oil leak out of the dipstick tube?
Messing around today I've measured the length of the tube and was surprised
to find that it is as long as the dipstick ...

Looking for a Wipac fuel filter (even a broken one)
Wed, 10 Jun 2009 01:13:56 +0000
Hi folks,
I'm looking for a Wipac fuel filter. The kind with a small glass bowl
and 1/4" BSPP male threaded fittings at both the inlet and outlet. As
fitted to the Petter A1. Anyone got a spare they'd be willing to part
with? One with a broken bowl or rusty steel arms would be fine so long
as it has the cor ...

ABC work
Mon, 8 Jun 2009 01:00:33 +0100
I've been working on my WW2 ABC OHV flat twin for some weeks now - this is
the one I bought off ePay a couple of months ago. Frankly, I've never worked
on an engine that needed so much doing to it as it showing every sign of
having been underwater at some time. It is also many years since it ran, the
sump sepa ...
