Astle Park     Mon, 22 Jun 2009 19:34:15 +0100

I'm bringing two engines up for two well known gentlemen, A Wolesley WD8 with a close coupled Wolesley pump for Kenny Williams and a 1.5 hp Ruston PB for Charles ...

Wessex Vintage Gathering, Semington     Mon, 22 Jun 2009 13:19:06 +0100
The Gathering went really well, pleasant weather, cloudy with sunny spells - & although we could afford only the most sketchy of advertising, we had enough public through the gate to more than cover our costs, plus laying a good foundation for next year. Most importantly, almost everyone who said they would c ...

Bolnhurst Rally     Sun, 21 Jun 2009 19:30:25 +0100
Gentlemen, I have just spent the weekend at my favourite Local Rally, Bolnhurst, this is a vintage event rather than steam, loads of tractors and a good selection of engines. Unfortunately the weather was seriously warm and I tended to sit and enjoy it so didn't take many pictures but will put up what I have ...

Mystery object.     Sat, 20 Jun 2009 10:24:28 +0100
Anyone like to have a crack at identifying this little object that I have just dug up in my garden? It appears to be a lubricator of sorts, but for what exactly? It is 1" long and 1" high and the "Screw-cap" (?) is 11/16" diameter. Although there appears to be rust present, no part of it responds to a strong m ...

New addition to workshop     Sat, 20 Jun 2009 06:21:25 +0100
Gentlemen, Fetched home a small bandsaw yesterday from a mate who is moving and has no further need of it, it was made by a company in the midlands and is made totally of cast alluminium, no sheet metal in sight. It will make tank making a lot easier. I will put some pictures up this weekend. Martin P ...

Another ABC!     Thu, 18 Jun 2009 21:01:07 +0100
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150350875854 It was a good run up to Shrewsbury except for the last three miles of the M54 which took over half an hour. Roadworks it said - bloody census! Not a high powered Police operation - although there was both Traffic bike & unmarked car to hand in ...

Tree swing (OT)     Tue, 16 Jun 2009 10:59:06 +0100
http://www.businessballs.com/businessballs_treeswing_pictures.htm Anybody subjected to company training courses a few years ago will recognise the original, but what do you think of the new variations? I'm sure we can all relate to the HSE approved one! NHH ...

Another petrol problem     Mon, 15 Jun 2009 15:59:15 +0100
The petrol tank on my Bradford 'King of All' was sealed many years ago with some proprietory muckite. This seemed to hold up just fine until unleaded came along at which point it started coming away from the inside of the tank in slimey flakes, just right for blocking things up. Anybody else come across this a ...
