Astle Park
Sat, 27 Jun 2009 16:19:23 +0100

we finally turned south again to Astle.
Not that many people there, was the first impression, weather was grumpy but

Wed, 24 Jun 2009 13:08:10 +0100
Researching the air cooled flat twin, I found some interesting facts. I
thought I'd share them with you.
In 1923, Stuart Turners and seven other companies were approached by the War
Office to see if they could produce a light weight air cooled engine to
drive a generator for military use. Five firms tried, but ...

I was told that the "Fiddle I"th Bag" on Alder lane Winwick was a pub I should visit
for my interest in Burtonwood US Airbase.
This wasn't so but it is one of the most interesting pubs I have visited.
I am also trying out Picasaweb instead of webshots. see
