Hi people,
It's the season for Chrismas parties and this year fancy dress seems to be
the main type! I have a Willie Wonka costume for a client.... His wife wants
to go as a Bar of chocolate! As we are in Australia, It can't be to hot and

I see that a company, Sewing Machines and Accessories, has a reconditioned
Bernina Record 530-2 for ¡ê250.
Can't find much about it except that it was superceded in the sixties but
had a good reputation.
¡ê250 seems quite a lot for a mchine of that age. Do you know what it can
do? Compared with a 1008 for aro ...

Does anyone know if a Singer 513 would fit any of the standard horn
cabinets ?
I have a Singer 513 and it did not come with a case or cabinet and
until I get one I cant really use the machine.

My partner has inherited a Brother BS-2125 sewing machine from a relative
but minus the manual.
We've tried Brother but to no avail. If anyone has a manual and would be

Hi people,
I have a rush job on (aren't they all?) I need to makeup a Butterick's
pattern but need the sizes 14 16 18 . The pattern number is 5655 . The
pattern is for a Tudor Style gown and has a woman in red and a little girl
in blue. I am not going to be near a Spotlight for a fortnight (250 km round
trip) ...

Does anyone know where I'd find fabric suitable for making men's
trousers? I don't mean plain cotton, I'm looking for the sort of
fabrics that high street retailers use.....like Next, Topman
etc...................are these sorts of fabrics even available without
a trip to Asia?
