Bullion values of UK coins

which lists reasonably recent bullion values for gold
and silver coins.

In our U.S. catalogs (Krause) there is mention of 1857 and 1858 pennies with
both "large date" and "small date", as well as 1858 halfpennies with both
sizes of date. I find no pictures of these in British literature which
would show the differences. What is the story on these?
