In my home on the island of which I am chairman, there are to be found: weedkiller, tennis balls and firelighters. I also have emails from gun owner Neil Barker. Maybe my interest in him could be classed as unhealthy. Does this amount to an offence? See http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5685527/White-s ...

I got one today, they rarely visit but I was thrilled to see them darting around in my orchard at 10 this morning. They are my favourite bird. They are like fairies in the trees and they are not shy about coming close to look at me, they don't seem scared at all. Tina ...

I've just spent some time Googling British birdsong and can't find anything like the song I have been hearing in my back garden. The song ends with a beautifully melodic vibrato note. The garden is in North Staffordshire and I haven't noticed any unusual or exotic birds about. Any ideas? Geoff Berrow ...

I want to put out some live mealworms for the birds in my back garden. It's a long way to a pet shop for mealworms and I don't like mail order but there's a fishing shop nearby. Are the fishermen's mealworms identical to the mealworms which birds like? The widbirds here can be fussy so I want to check if ...
