Am off to Majorca for the last week of September. As it is mainly a
family holiday during which any birding will (probably) be curtailed,

in Aberdeenshire. Donald Trump wants to build 2 golf courses, 500 houses a
hotel and 1000 holiday homes on Menie ... the Little Terns will love that,

Part of one of Britain's most important bird reserves is to be
abandoned because of coastal erosion.
Up to a third of the RSPB's Titchwell Marshes on the north Norfolk
coast will be given up to protect the rest of the sanctuary from the
encroaching sea.

"Take two cows taffy". Search the group for this phrase to find a 2006
thread on the subject. (I couldn't reply to it directly).
However, a woodpigeon near our garden has taken to saying "take two
cows anthony", very distinctly. The end of the call is "...coo-c-coo"
rather than the "...coo coo" (in the parlance ...
