turbines which could power thousands of homes.
They have been working on the Lanstrom device, which is said to be one

Great Bustards

Just back from 2 weeks holiday in Southern Portugal. Spent some time
around Castro Verde, looking for Great Bustards. I'm delighted to say,
we were very sucessfull! Went out specifically to find GBs on 4
occassions and were sucessful 3 times. Best sighting was a loose flock
of 14 birds!

Squabbling Jays

I'm used to seeing Magpies around our gardens, and they are well known to
squabble in "parliaments".
But until the other day I had never seen a Jay within miles of here, but at
least three were chasing each other around trees in mine and neighbour's
gardens.

unfortunately its that time of year again when the poor greenfinches and
some collared doves have got that awful disease again, i live in the
midlands and have noticed it has affected some of the birds in my garden
