during which the horse which was towing the replica plane across a
field suddenly bolted and the plane took off - but despite all the

Flying in South Africa

I am making plans for a flying tour (Cessna or Piper singles) in South
Africa and neighbouring countries.
The idea is to carry a folding muntain bike and a tent and visit the place.
As I've never been in South Africa I wonder if there's somebody among you
that could provide me with some useful ...

Is a current medical required to revalidate a CAA PPL?

My UK CAA medical has lapsed but I am still legal to fly with my FAA
PPL & valid medical. Since I need to complete the 2 year revalidation
is it acceptable or do I need a CAA medical for the flight?
I have been told that since my revalidation does not include the 12
hour requirement in the last 12 months I need ...
