Decent cheap mic for vocal studio use

Right... I have some backing tracks that I need to record vocals on
using Audition. At the moment I have an el-cheapo cardioid mic from
Maplin (kind of like a poor man's SM58) that I've had since I was about
15. It works to a point but I need something a bit better.
So without breaking the bank, any recommend ...

Power amp wanted

Due to "downsizing" and probably wrecked ears I am looking for a
straightforward power amp. Totally happy with my pre and the entire front
end. Has to drive a pair of undemanding bookshelf speakers - Hitachi HS-1,
flavour of the month about 30 years ago and still sound pretty reasonable.
