resealing an old tank
Thu, 09 Aug 2007 10:32:35 -0700
Hi , I've inherited a couple of small tanks, I'd guess from the
1950's. They are really attractive as the edging is all chromed metal
so they look sort of art deco. However they are not water tight, the
sealing between the panels and the metal must have perished. I'm
hoping it's possible to re-seal them with sili ...

Glass Sliding cover set - plastic double runners
Thu, 09 Aug 2007 11:42:39 +0100
Does anyone know where I can purchase in the UK the two plastic double
runners which sit front and back of the tank, on the horizontal
support strips?
Each sheet of glass can be moved in its runner to allow access to half
the tank
I've got plenty of glass to cut to size, but no runners, just curious,
as to ...

Angels - How Many?
Mon, 16 Jul 2007 08:37:43 GMT
Hello all,
I'm planning on getting a "few" angel fish this afternoon for my 180L Juwel
Rio tank, there are some mature Melon Barbs in there and a plec but that's
about it. My question is, if I buy a "few" juvenile angels, what would be
an ideal number for their social happiness, given my tank

Black molly
Tue, 19 Jun 2007 10:24:35 +0100
My black molly is churning out babies at an alarming rate. I couldn't sell
or give them away. So as a last resort I put some straight into the garden
pond (cruel, I know) as live food for the goldfish, pondskaters,
water-boatmen, frogs and dragon-fly larvae. That was a month ago and they
are thriving!

polysterne tiles to rest all glass tanks on!
Thu, 07 Jun 2007 17:21:40 +0100
I'm expanding my fish house again, only by 6 x 30x15x12, but I cannot
find any polysterne tiles to sit the glass tanks on?
Ceiling tiles seem to be a thing of the past in most DIY store today,
people maybe don't stick them to their kitchen ceilings anymore!
Any ideas, replacements or otherwise
