Petition for banning goldfish being given as prizes

I was browsing PFK's website and found this link to a Downing Street
petition to ban goldfish being given as prizes.

I've signed up and thought maybe it would be of interest to other UK
fishkeepers.

Tetra Vacation Food
Sat, 15 Sep 2007 11:41:14 +0100
I just got back from a week away and before I went I dropped a Tetra
vacation tub in each tank.
I got back and the fish are fine, and the tank looks well scavenged :-)
But I noticed the stuff in the tub hasn't dissolved. It looks fairly
colourless and the fish don't look starved, but I expected to find empt ...

Which external filter?
Tue, 21 Aug 2007 23:06:18 +0100
Hi,
Haven't been here for a few years but I'd like to ask your opinions on
filters. My first ever Eheim (Professionel II) has been a pain in the
arse and I can no longer trust it. After being supplied with a rogue
hose connector assembly (that should have been a product recall but
wasn't) and then having go ...

resealing an old tank
Thu, 09 Aug 2007 10:32:35 -0700
Hi , I've inherited a couple of small tanks, I'd guess from the
1950's. They are really attractive as the edging is all chromed metal
so they look sort of art deco. However they are not water tight, the
sealing between the panels and the metal must have perished. I'm
hoping it's possible to re-seal them with sili ...

Glass Sliding cover set - plastic double runners
Thu, 09 Aug 2007 11:42:39 +0100
Does anyone know where I can purchase in the UK the two plastic double
runners which sit front and back of the tank, on the horizontal
support strips?
Each sheet of glass can be moved in its runner to allow access to half
the tank
I've got plenty of glass to cut to size, but no runners, just curious,
as to ...

Angels - How Many?
Mon, 16 Jul 2007 08:37:43 GMT
Hello all,
I'm planning on getting a "few" angel fish this afternoon for my 180L Juwel
Rio tank, there are some mature Melon Barbs in there and a plec but that's
about it. My question is, if I buy a "few" juvenile angels, what would be
an ideal number for their social happiness, given my tank
volume/dimens ...
