Cleaning a mess tent

We are in the middle of drying out our new(ish) mess tent after its
muckyest outing. Can anyone tell me the what is the 'canvas' side made
from and does it have a coating on it. In other words if we power-
hosed the walls would it damage the tent ..?

North Yorkshire Jamboree ... apparently a new jamboree for 2009, but
continuing the tradition of Tookay 2000 and 2004, whatever that was.
Any experience of those events, or inside info about NYJAM? We're

Gas fridge problem

Just a quick sense-check with a fridge problem.
We have a fridge (a Waco gas/mains/12v type) and having issues running
from gas.
Whenever it's tested (in my garage) it works fine on gas, producing
ice cubes inside an hour and keeping the temperature down to about 5C
despite 20+ ambient.

camp where scouts are challenged to find scouting / wildlife information on
the internet?
We are camping at Downe. Clearly we would need power, tent or building and a
