Whilst I can see why some people may find it difficult to recruit suitable
people to fulfil this current role, and that the use of technology should
be reviewed, I'm not convinced by the suggestions put forward.

I know it is quite early - but thinking towards 2009 is anyone aware of any
UK based large camp events - preferably International type but any that are
open to those outside the county that is organising them.

PARENTS ROTA

As of September I will loose my ACSL and wil be faced with running a
Cub pack of 18 lads on my own. Realising that I can't do this I'm
planning to start a parents rota and would be grateful for your
advice. Should I go for one or two parents per night? Do they have to
be CRB'd? What do I do if a parent refuses?

Prompted by a comment by chris 5th, I thought I'd give a run down of
our last activity.
This was a bivouac evening at our district campsite. Only 14 Scouts
turned up (out of 26), which in the event was quite handy.

Looking for some bright ideas.
Attending the Dutch Jamboree which starts at the weekend. Booked
equipment from the jamboree organisers months ago, including tentage,
cooking equipment and tables/benches.
They didn't have a price for the tables and benches at the time, but
estimated at about ¡è20 per set ...
