Hi,
before I get too old I wanted to attempt the Inaccessible Pinnacle on
Skye as I suspect I may eventually become a Munro bagger in the not too
distant future.
I realise that hiring someone who can get you up there with ropes etc.
is essential and am a keen hill walker who has walked a number of Munros

Try this: Put a name of a non-honey-pot hill into a Google search.
Chances are near the top of the results will be the bloody irritating
go4awalk web site. You open the page and other than telling you the name
of the hill there is nothing at all - especially with regard to
Scottish, but not exclusively so - fo ...

Well, not a term I like to use, but an interesting point was raise by a
friend recently while walking in the Lake District. He moved to live near
Helensburgh early this year and taken a big liking to the mountains. (He
lived near me in the south for many a year, but never had an interest in
serious walking.) ...

I?ve just received hf 2010 brochures - all 989g of it. Yes, I am on the
mailing list but all this paper is not the way forward: it?s excessive
paper, postage and weight for the postman. Yes, I do want to receive
information, but not 1kg of paper. This is the 21st century and we have

Repair walking shoes?

Every pair of walking shoes or boots have always had the same problem
- the sides holding the sole to the main shoe peel off, even though
the sole isn't that worn. So does anyone have any suggestions as to
what I can do to repair the problem?

Walked this last Saturday and in my opinion one of the best walks in
the area. A superb edge on Access land. good paths all the way. Park
at Askrigg - Warton bridge - Nappa Mill - Woodhall - Beldhaw Hill -
The Combs & Ellerkin Edge - at end of edge head NW to pick up road
then turn left - right into Low Straights ...
