How far away can a town or city be seen from a hill/mountain?
Sat, 2 Aug 2008 06:46:32 -0700 (PDT)
I have seen Stoke-on-Trent on many clear days from my local hill
Sedgley Beacon at around 30-35 miles south and a relative from
Shropshire has told me that he has seen Liverpool with binoculars from
The Wrekin on a very clear day. Liverpool is 53 miles from The Wrekin
and is sounds really impressive how it can be ...

Walderton over Kinlgey Vale
Fri, 1 Aug 2008 12:38:04 +0100
After a couple of weeks off the South Downs, through an old sports injury
attacking the lower back, it was great to be out in the early morning fresh
air .......... and almost the rain! Looked great when I left home at 6:30am
for the short drive to Walderton, but the sky started to change soon after.

Lindsay's Caledonian Treks
Thu, 31 Jul 2008 15:39:49 +0100
Sorry to read (probably belatedly) that Lindsay is ending his
hillwalking business. I always enjoyed reading his reports and his
website is a mine of information. In fact just visited it to find out,
yet again, the phone number of the boatman on Loch Mullardoch. Hopefully
he is still in business.

Some multiple choice questions can be tougher than you think, especially
if all the answers are correct and you have to choose the 'best fit'
answer.

Imsouane - Morocco
Wed, 30 Jul 2008 23:05:16 -0700 (PDT)
I was recently introduced to a fabulous place for surfing!! in
Morocco
- Imsouane. This place is something else. It's what you would call an
emerging venue I suppose. Brillian coastline and waves. Check it out
if you get the chance. It's largely undeveloped, but there is a Surf
School and campsite - www.morocco-c ...
