My enthusiasm levels were high on Friday and I took my new tent out to
the New Forest for another go at camping. This tent is perfect for me,
it's so light and small. I am familiar with a lot of the Western half
of the New Forest and managed to find a good site. There were red deer

Watersmeet, Lynmouth

Hoping to do a walk that I found in the BBC's Coast Walks Book at the
end of the month. Although I've done Watersmeet before I have never then
gone back up the moor and along the coast path, also this walks includes
Lynton and The Valley of the Rocks. Lets hope the weather will be fine
for that weekend ;-)

OT: Topographical maps of the Faeroe Islands

Faeroes towards the end of the summer. Can anyone recommend any
decent topographic maps of the islands? The best ones I can find are
at 1:100,000 from Kort & Matrikelstyrelsen (the Danish equivalent of

Anyone know of a good source of cheap socks? I had some Aldi ones which were
great with a built in liner, but I've never seen them since in Aldi. Don't
