Bedding compound/sealant for aluminium fittings

A friend took of a cast Al fitting a while back and found the acid curing
agent had badly corroded the fitting. I think he said he used Lifecaulk
which, I seem to recollect, is a polysulphide.
RTV silicone cures with the production of acetic acid and I know causes some
corrosion - I have seen it.

problems with marine megastore retailer

Hi all,
I recently ordered a liferaft and cradle from marine megastore. I had
delivery
problems, billing problems (got overbilled and charged for products I
didn't order) and
got shipped a cradle with a strap that doesn't work. Their customer
service is horrible.

Hello,
In the eternal quest for the perfect boat I was looking at a 44' Pape
over the weekend. Lovely boat, in steel.
