Not such a bargain
Fri, 4 Sep 2009 08:33:43 -0700 (PDT)
This dropped into my in-box, from my eBay searches
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190332805141
And I thought... mmm... 32 bucks plus another $10 postage. Not bad.
And then I looked at Dave Silver's website. ¡ê4 each plus VAT. ...

Fri, 4 Sep 2009 14:04:47 +0100
Fuel tap assemblies for my FJ1100 have been unavailable from Yamaha for many
years (the FJ1200s don't have the same sadly) Even the FJ owners club can't
get them. Rebuild kits were produced in the '80s but *not* been easy to find
since early '90s. Secondhand FJ1100 fuel taps are almost certain to have one

Alternator Rewinding?
Wed, 2 Sep 2009 13:20:35 +0100
Right, for a possible highly secret forthcoming winter trip I don't
think the R100RS standard alternator 230W is going to cut the mustard,
even with HID lights fitted. I see 3rd party upgrades for some $450.

power? This is an area I've neve ...

Akuma Phantom II MFR Helmet Review
Wed, 2 Sep 2009 04:15:08 -0700 (PDT)
The beauty of the Phantom II is in its pure design functionality. It?s
hands-down one of the lightest lids I?ve ever worn, weighing in at a
svelte three pounds of total carbon fiber construction (covered in a
UV resistant clear coat). For complete Product Review check out
