Wed, 7 Oct 2009 10:12:08 -0700 (PDT)
Thanks to all who have helped me so far! I followed your advice,
changed BOTH throttle cables, and the force needed to control the
throttle is much less, the bike is now rideable for at least short
distances. Will take it on a long trip soon and then report back......
(The old cables sure looked like a mess whe ...

Farting and coughing
Wed, 7 Oct 2009 17:27:48 +0100
A little while back I bought an '03 Sportster (carb model) from a guy who
warned it 'runs perfectly fine but can chuff out' at roundabouts. He was not
lying: it did and still does - when/if you blip the throttle to drop a gear
for the roundabout. (Easy got round though - just don't blip and, strangely,
it does ...

Wed, 07 Oct 2009 16:43:22 +0100

thanks. ...

Wed, 7 Oct 2009 02:04:24 -0700 (PDT)

speed camera at the start of the bend that leads to the tunnel
entrance. Said bend has also grown a sign "Average speed check"
underneath a speed limit sign that was/is covered.
You've been warned - and yes, I realise that I don't have a front

an idiot with a Z500 wheel
Mon, 28 Sep 2009 21:51:45 GMT
Er, sometimes I'm a bit hard of thinking...
couple of years ago I mentioned that I had a z500 (possibly 550 - 7
spoke job anyway) front and someone here was interested in it.
Unfortunately, I never did anything about getting the damn wheel out of
my shed and now can't remember who was interested.
I found sa ...
