Yet another 'what bike' post

As you know, I've been muttering about getting shot of the VFR for a
while now to get something with a bit more grunt, and have focussed
mainly on a Thunderace or Fazer 1000 as likely candidates so far.
I've got a testride lined up for next weekend on a Fazer 1000 as my
starter for ten.

OT: Laptop hd caddy

If one was to acquire a 160Gb laptop hd, from an Acer Aspire 5610Z, which
one wanted to use as a USB storage device, what kind of caddy would one be
looking for on ebay? One I just looked at said up to 40gb only and another
said it was for 80 pin SCA drives and then my eyes glazed over.
Would this be the kind ...

the tail unit on the gixxer has a small crack in it, I knew about it & it
just needs sorting. Would i be right in thinking a small sheet of fibreglass
etc on the back would be a good idea prior to the tiny amount of filling &
painting required Beav?
