WTF have I DONE?

Dropped a grenade in XP, it seems. Now, I've had this before, but I
can't recall how to get out of it. It's to do with typing: I can type
in native Windows apps (Word, notepad) as normal, but Agent will only
recognise alphanumerics (no return, backspace, delete etc) and I can't
enter text into, for example, the ...

Or some such bollocks.
It now seems that it isn't hard enough to sell a property, so just to
make it a bit more difficult it is, from tomorrow a requirement to
waste even more money on another meaningless bit of crap.
Fuck me, I give up. I think I'll just Freecycle the fucking place.

My house was build prior to 1985 so I b ...

OT: TV Engineers = Useless Twats

I bought a bigish LCD TV about 10 months ago. Once I'd turned off all of
the 'enhancements' and set it up properly I ended up with a pretty damn
impressive picture.
However, when watching it at night I started to notice that when a film
faded to black the screen wasn't actually a consistent black, rather
