Time window for Holland --> S. coast of France?

I'm in a camper-van in Holland right now, and will soon drive down to
the south coast of France. Since I do not know about the weather and
terrain here, I ask:
1. How long can I stay up north before making the drive, in order to
avoid driving through areas of ice and snow?

VW Transporter (T5) steering 'clonking'

We've just bought a new (2006) Auto-sleepers Trooper based on the VW T5
Transporter and soon experienced a 'clonking' feel through the steering
as if there was play somewhere in the linkage. We took the vehicle to
our local VW van centre and they said this was a well known problem
with the T5, but it had not ...

renault trafic spares be quick

Before i call in the local scrap yard, has anyone on here got any use
for 2 renault trafic vans, deisel and petrol both runners, good boxes
and engines, both failed on welding in july, they both sat in my drive
since while i decided if i was going to fix them or not, anyone who
owns a camper might be glad of the ...

in a camper-van in Holland right now, thinking about the south coast of
France or Spain, maybe Greece.
I prefer the seacoast with nearby mountains, nice clean towns without

Who makes elevating roof's ?

Does anyone know who makes elevating roof's ? There was a company in
Lincs(AER developments I think) but they have closed down a while ago they
used to make them for any vehicle. Apart from Reimo does anyone know of
anywhere else in the UK that makes elevating roof's

erection instructions (photostat would do) or some sort of manual.
Have contacted pennine but no reply yet.

Braking Problem

I have a 1990 1.6 TD VW T25. and have a brake problem . The brakes have been
flushed through with new fluid and bled properly. I am not losing fluid. With
the engine off the pedal is firm. With the engine running there is an initial

M6 Toll Rip-Off

Anyone else fell foul of the M6 Toll rip-off??? Charged as a commercial van
equivalent to a 50 seater coach for a Small VW T25 Camper.
Previously I have always been charged as a car, last weekend charged as a
Van.
Contacted them today and was told thats there charging structure above 1.3m
