I have fitted a leisure battery into my VW Type 2 Campervan. There is a relay
to direct the charge to the leisure battery when the main battery is fully

Item in the latest CC magazine: the French Govt are passing the
responsibility for road numbering etc to local authorities, and it is
expected that most of them will re-classify and renumber most of their local
roads. Even brand new maps may soon be out of date.

I just joined this group. We have just ordered a Cheyanne 660 for
delivery in July 07. We need to make a decision soon on the engine.
Do I go with the standard 2.3 (the new version of the 2.8 model) or do
I upgrade it to the 3.0 engine.

sky light for camper ... not normal size ???

Hiya Folks
I have a converted camper , I believe it used
to be a ambulance .( Fiat ducato ) Anyways the skylight
has blown off ...... its not a standard caravan size
though which is apprently 45x45cm
This one seems to be 50c,x50cm
Any ideas where i can get a replacemnt skylight ?

Mountain descent results in brake failure and a big unwanted adrenalin rush

Just got back from my first big trip to Spain in a 21 year old, 50000
mile, Mercedes 307D Autotrail.
All very good except . . . . twice I was descending high mountain
passes and lost all power to my brakes. The pedal just floored and
although there was some unpowered braking it was very scary stuff.
